In-home Newborn Session with Baby Everly/ Cookeville, TN

From the moment sweet baby Everly's mom made contact with me, I just knew I would love her. We first spoke a couple of weeks before Everly was due to make her arrival, and I gathered all the information I needed to set a tentative date for their session here in Cookeville,TN. Newborn photography is unlike other types of photography, in that you can't just set a specific date and time for your session with a client. As you know, babies tend to keep their own schedules, and they don't make their entrance until they're completely ready! Once she arrived and their family was home, Everly's sweet mom let me know, and we set up their session for August 25th.

I was so excited for their session! When I arrived, Dad took their adorable dog out for a bit while Mom and I got better aquainted. I sat up in their living room, and once Everly had a full belly we began the session. At first, sweet Everly wasn't at all impressed with me. She wanted to stay awake and alert, just in case I decided to try some funny business. After she was finished checking me (and my light) out and eating a bit more, she decided she was ready for a nap. Here's the very first photo I got of this sweet girl, while we were still getting to know one another.

Her session was amazing. We got through several different setups quickly and easily, and she LOVED being wrapped up all tight and snuggly! This was probably one of my favorite sessions. Everly's mom couldn't have been more amazing, and made me feel so comfortable in her home. I felt like I was just visiting a friend instead of working, and getting to cuddle with a precious baby was the cherry on top of a wonderful day on the job. The love that Everly's mom has for her daughter was evident from the moment I walked through the door. Sessions like this one are the reason I love newborn photography; I was able to meet amazing people, and I hope to continue to photograph precious Everly as she grows and changes. She is a very lucky girl to be so loved by such amazing parents. I have no doubt that this spunky little one will do big things some day.
