 My name is Amanda Ledbetter, and I live in Cookeville, TN. I grew up near Baxter, and attended TTU for Child and Family Studies. Before newborn, child, and family photography, I worked in childcare for about a decade, then moved on to healthcare and working with the elderly. I love sweaters, redbull, Golden Girls and I Love Lucy reruns, true crime podcasts, reading, Supernatural, my amazing family, super soft blankets, camping, a good bonfire, babies (really any tiny human), and sleep (although I never get enough). I'm usually an introvert and keep to myself, but photography brings me out of my shell and I feel like I am finally in my element.  I've already met so many amazing people, and I love helping them see the beauty in their lives.

I have loved taking pictures since I was twelve years old, dressing up and posing my little brothers in trees and down by the creek, wearing suits. Thankfully, they were ten years younger than me, so they didn't complain too much.  Shooting with that little 35mm camera, and waiting to get my pictures back to see what I needed to practice, or if they turned out perfectly, was so exciting. I kept shooting and practicing for years, but at some point I put the camera down, and started working toward other things. My love of children led me toward teaching, and the rest is history.

After years of letting life get in the way, I finally got the push I needed to put everything I have into my dream and start my own business. Now here it is... Janie & June Photography. This business is my baby, and is aptly named after my girls, Ella Jane and Lola June.

 I'm always excited to be able to meet new people on this journey, and to capture important moments for my clients and their families. I truly believe that photos are the most important thing in which a person can invest. They are links for us all to relive and remember a special moment, important person, or even a feeling from the past. My true love is Newborn photography, and is where I try to focus most of my time, but I enjoy capturing every important milestone: maternity, babies first year, cake smashes, engagements, and families, whenever I have the opportunity. My hope is to continue to learn and grow as an artist, and to give every single client a reason to use me as their photographer year after year. I can't wait to create beautiful images for you to enjoy for years to come!
